olaplex: haircare for bleach blonde

With my original hair color being dark brown, bleaching my hair for the past 6 years has taken a toll on the health of my locks. The texture has evolved from being very thin and soft, to having a dry feel and more body. One of the struggles I have encountered is the feel of my hair in the shower. It often feels dry and coarse to touch even when it is wet. As a result, I have been searching for products that provide enough hydration to make my hair feel smoother and healthier.

I started with the No. 6 Bond Smoother after it was used for me at a salon. The technology Olaplex uses claims to work on a molecular level to repair damaged and brittle hair and this product is a leave-in product that has the texture of a conditioner. I have noticed throughout my time using the line that most of the products are very heavy, so a little goes a long way. The product does work to decrease frizz and smooth out the texture of my hair so I ventured into the Shampoo and Conditioner.

I had the same experience with the set as well. The major downside is that the products can weigh down thin hair and can cause the hair to feel dirty and greasy faster. On the other hand, living in a dry climate and using the products does create a more silky hydrated feel wet or dry.

If you are on the hunt for products to soothe damaged or brittle hair, I would recommend giving this line a shot.
